Next Parish Council Meeting 11th November 2026 @ 6pm

Upcoming community event for the gas mains replacement works.

The event will take place on Wednesday 14 October, from 15:00 to 18:00, at:

Rosliston
Derbyshire

Cadent Gas will be carrying out essential gas mains replacement works along Rolleston Road and Coton Road,

commencing on 26 October. To help minimizedisruption to local residents, businesses and road users, the works

will be delivered in two phases:

Phase 1 Location: Rosliston Road, from the junction with Burton Road Start Date: 26 October
Duration: Approximately 8 weeks

A full road closure will be in place on Rolleston Road throughout this phase. A signed diversion route will be implemented, and the closure will affect traffic travelling between Rosliston and Walton-on-Trent.

To provide local residents and businesses with an opportunity to discuss the scheme and raise any concerns, Cadent will be hosting a community gazebo event on Wednesday 14 October between 14:00 and 19:00. The venue details will be shared once confirmed.

Phase 2 Location: Coton Road, Walton-on-Trent Start Date: To be confirmed, subject to permit approval
Duration: Approximately 7 weeks

During this phase, a number of traffic management arrangements will be required, including:

Rosliston Road to the junction with Coton Road – Full road closure

Coton Road to Main Street – Full road closure

Station Lane to the River Trent – Full road closure, with access maintained where possible

Main Road junction with Station Road and Coton Lane – Road closures on Station Lane and Coton Lane,

with temporary two-way traffic signals on Main Street - Click here for more information
